Google is constantly adapting themselves to deliver a more enjoyable, easier to use experience to search engine users. Recently, their newest update was for their search results pages. Google had launched this update to include their newest developments in search technology, which were designed to make searching easier and more accurate.
Some of the most noticeable changes include a navigation bar located on the left hand side of the search results pages. This bar includes search tools that will better help you to refine the results of your query. Included in this navigation bar is Universal Search, the Search Options panel and Google Squared, which are designed to make your search results more relevant to the keyword that you have searched. The way Universal Search works is simple. After you enter a keyword into the search bar, Google will generate a list of search results. On the left-hand side of the search results, there will be a list of quick links that can help you find what you are looking for. This includes an image link, a video link and a news link. It also features a set of links that will allow you to refine your search results to the most popularly used links and even gives you the opportunity to sort your results according to when they were posted on the web.
Google first launched this type of technology in the spring of 2009. Since then they have been fine-tuning it so that it delivers optimum results. These tools are being brought to the forefront, by being featured in specialized area in Google’s search results. Now users are going to have all of the tools they need to make their searches as accurate as possible. This will definitely improve the search experience for users, which will only reinforce Google’s stronghold as the most popular search engine on the web.
